How to Choose Ideal Holiday Apartment in Paris: A Quick Guide

Well-organized trip makes for a worry-free experience! And that starts with choosing your holiday accommodation in Paris. Here are five tips to consider for choosing the right holiday apartment for you:

Proximity to Public Transportation:  nothing is more annoying than losing vacation time in transportation! To avoid such a thing during your holiday, look carefully at the property description to know the distance between the flat and the bus stops, and especially the nearest metro station. Ideally, the metro station is within 7 – 8 minute walk. Also, make the subway line as one of your criteria to make your choice! In Paris, for example, lines 1 and 14 are the most preferred as the first line connects the most exceptional tourist attractions and the second one links the north and south of Paris in just 13-minute ride, think about it!

Noise from the Street: Holidays, that means party time! But to hear the party music once you are already in the bed is not that pleasant …or woken by the dawn chorus, not so nice at all. If you want to enjoy the famous Parisian nightlife without being bothered by the noise once back at home, choose a quiet street close to restaurants and bars. If you want to stay on a street lined with numerous cafes, bars and restaurants, perfect for your nights out with no travel required, select an apartment located on higher floor with double glazing.

Elevator in apartment building
Presence of an Elevator in the Building: Do you love exercise? Great, then a lift is not an important criterion for you! For the less athletic, for an apartment located beyond the second floor, be sure to check if there is a lift in the apartment’ building. For the comfort of your stay, it seems like a small detail…but after a long day of sightseeing, you’ll appreciate it!

Proximity to Shops: When choosing your holiday accommodation, make sure to check your area for grocery stores and markets, which should be located within two hundred meters. You may not have the desire to dine out every night and even less desire to walk miles to do your daily shopping.

Number of Rooms: If you decide for a party holiday with a group of friends, you will not certainly spend a lot of time in the apartment. Intimacy is not therefore a priority! For others, think twice before you book a studio for 4…Are you sure to like your friends after a week in the same room?
